UK EGO events and shows list for 2020

Our regularly updated list of LEGO events and shows in the UK, covering England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland is back!

Here’s the Beicks McGee list of LEGO events and shows in the UK for 2020 – you’ll find the 2021 LEGO events list  here.

Coronavirus / Covid-19 – many events are likely to be cancelled or postponed from March 2020 onwards; please check with organisers before travelling.

LEGO show size guides

As usual now, we have tried to include a rough guide to the size of the LEGO show or event on the list. LEGO shows vary hugely in their sizes, from small church hall affairs to large exhibition centre events with displays, marketplace and LEGO activities for families (and the odd Adult Fan of LEGO, of course!).

The size of a LEGO show isn’t necessarily an indicator of the quality of the show, but should give you an idea of the number of exhibits and potential activities that may be available on the day.

  • Small LEGO shows are estimated to attract 0 – 1000 visitors per day.
  • Medium LEGO shows are estimated to attract 1001 – 2500 visitors per day.
  • Large LEGO shows are estimated to attract 2501 – 5000 visitors per day.
  • Huge LEGO shows are estimated to attract 5001+ visitors per day.

The event organiser is labeled where possible, for transparency. Many LEGO shows are organised by LEGO User Groups, whilst some of the larger events are commercial shows. As a general guide, I would expect the more commercial shows to be larger and contain less “AFOL content” (displays by adult LEGO fan builders) than shows organised by LEGO user groups.

As per last year, I’ve removed my list of touring LEGO exhibitions as this was creating a lot of work to keep on top of, as well as various LEGO workshops at museums, etc. These were taking too much of my time to maintain, unfortunately!

Always check with event organisers before traveling to an event; whilst I try and keep this list up to date, things do change at the last moment!

Enjoy – and come and say hello if I’m attending a LEGO show you are – it’s always good to meet fellow LEGO fans.
