More workshops for museums and schools with Play Do Learn

Bricks McGee is now part of Play Do Learn, a new name for my workshops business.

Over the past 6 or so years of LEGO model commissions and LEGO workshops, I’ve worked with many schools, museums, libraries and corporate clients to deliver LEGO-themed workshops, and was often asked if I could provide anything beyond LEGO workshops. Well, now I can!

One of the things that really caught my eye earlier this year is the Turing Tumble, a marble-powered computer and logic game which is the perfect introduction for younger participants to programming and logic concepts. This fits perfectly with the Play Do Learn ethos for workshops – that is, activities that are engaging, educational and entertaining. I can’t wait to see how these develop for clients over the next year or so!

I’ve also been developing a wider range of LEGO workshops for offer, including a “build your own mini golf course” activity and a “LEGO marble run” activity which I’ll add to the Play Do Learn website in due time.

New workshops and activities will be added over the coming weeks and months, as I become happy with how the format will work for each, and the quality were able to deliver them to.

One final change is that I now have a team of workshop facilitators around the UK, who are able to help handle workshops and events in busier times (such as the summer holidays, half terms and Christmas), whether at the same event, or across separate venues. These are people I trust deeply to deliver workshops to the same standards I would expect of myself.

So, exciting times ahead! You can give the Play Do Learn Twitter account and Play Do Learn Facebook page a like if you fancy keeping up to date – it’s early days, so likes and follows are always appreciated!
