We crossed the River Tyne in search of LEGO models and found ourselves at Discovery Brick Show again.
Hosted in the beautiful Great Hall at Discovery Museum by Brick Alley a week earlier than usual, on 26th and 27th April 2025, Discovery Brick Show brought a selection of models to the Toon.

Mark’s “Gold” Kanji mosaic
This show was Mark’s first time exhibiting at a LEGO show, and his mosaic of the Japanese character for “gold”, built from gold LEGO pieces, really caught our eyes. Brilliant, beautiful, and very shiny!
Collaborative flamingos
Brick Alley’s collaborative flamingo display showcased what can be achieved with a small set. More their flamingo, resulting in a rainbow of flamingos on display, from . One of our favourites was this punk flamingo by Simon Bowen.
Caz’s New Hashima
New Hashima is a collaborative standard for building futuristic cityscapes, and Caz’s own collection of New Hashima cubes made it to Discovery Brick Show this year. Showcasing some brilliantly creative and unusual part use (spot the DUPLODUPLO is a LEGO product line designed for young children, fe... More plants and Clikits!), lighting was integrated throughout, creating a really visually rich display.
