Adventuring south of London again, we headed to the Spa Valley Railway for their first ever LEGO fan event, the Spa Valley Model Brick Show 2024.
Hosted in the Tunbridge Wells West shed in the county of Kent, members of the LEGO UK Railway and other LEGO fans from across the country displayed models and provided activities for LEGO fans of all ages for the weekend of 26th – 27th October 2024.

This small and friendly LEGO show had a variety of LEGO train and other displays for visitors to feast their eyes on; here is a choice of our favourite models from the Spa Valley Model Brick Show 2024.
Tunbrick Wells West by Levi Reid
What better sight to be greeted with on the way in to the event than a huge LEGO model of Tunbridge Wells West, the venue itself! Levi’s model – the wonderfully punny Tunbrick Wells West – is impressive in scale and was full of details for visitors to spot, as well as being full of technical wizardry including working point motors allowing LEGO trains to be driven around the display with minimal interference from human hands.
American motel model by @chucklesbricks
A prolific builder who has somehow not made it on to our featured list, Rob, aka @chucklesbricks, caught our eye with this American motel model, making great use of LEGO’s colour palette.
There were plenty of horror movie references throughout the model, including this brilliant recreation of the infamous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho:
It was great to be invited to support this community event, with extra funds raised over the weekend going to support the Spa Valley Railway. We hope to see this event return in 2025 – keep an eye out on our list of LEGO fan events in the UK next year!
