On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February, we headed to in York and the brilliant National Railway Museum for the first Railway Bricks event, a LEGO fan event hosted in the museum by LEGO UK Railway, the UK LEGO train club.
Unlike many other events with all displays in one hall, the LEGO displays at Railway Bricks were spread across the museum’s two halls with a trail linking them. The LEGO model displays were heavily railway and train focused, with plenty of movement!
Our favourite LEGO models from Railway Bricks 2026
A wide variety of styles were on display at Railway Bricks, with fan builders from across the country gathering to showcase their latest models. Here’s a selection of our favourites from the weekend.
Bridge Street by Nixxbrixx
A visitor favourite too, Nicola’s Bridge Street display mixed LEGO trains with superheroes and film references with a bright, colourful display of fandom. You can follow her on Instagram here.

Food kanji mosaic by @clocksontv
We featured Marks’ brilliant “train” kanji as part of our Shildon Brick Show 2025 round up, and this time his superb kanji for “eat, food” stood out, featuring hundreds of printed LEGO tiles for cookies, waffles, biscuits and more, overlayed with some clever LEGO-built sushi.

Middlebit farm by Will (aka @blockjunction)
A new bit of scenery for the Laterem Valley LEGO railway display, “Middlebit farm” by Will from @blockjunction adds a little more scenery in the (yes, you guessed it!) middle of their display, with dry stone walls, a crossing gate, and cosy looking farm cottage.

Tunbrick Wells West by Levi Reid

This LEGO model of Tunbridge Wells West, called Tunbrick Wells West, on the Spa Valley Railway in Kent appeared at Railway Bricks refreshed and rebuilt, with even more detail than before – and to add to the magic, the points can all be controlled remotely, allowing for trains to run more realistically.
Lighthouse corner by Lewis Bird

Our very own Lewis gets a mention for his latest scenery model – his lighthouse corner. Featuring a functioning lighthouse, lovely rounded cliff face, and rainbow beach huts, it provides a lovely splash of colour – and light!
Railways Bricks attracted a whopping 9000+ visitors over the two days, making for a really busy event! We hope to see it return in 2027…
