Shildon Brick Show returned to Locomotion Museum in North East England for a weekend of LEGO inspiration and hands-on fun with LEGO model displays from builders across the UK, as well as activities and a marketplace for everything from rare figures to loose parts and that sought after set.

Here’s our round-up from Shildon Brick Show 2025 held on 1st November – 2nd November 2025, organised by Brick Alley LEGO User Group and home to some 125 exhibitors and volunteers for the weekend.

Our favourite models from Shildon Brick Show 2025

As ever, there were hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks on display across models built by LEGO fans from a huge range of themes, and we’ve captured just a handful of what was on display at the weekend.

Marilyn Monroe DUPLO mosaic by Iain Metcalf

LEGO DUPLO Mosaic of Marilyn Monroe at Shildon Brick Show 2025 by Iain Metcalf

A good LEGO mosaic is a thing of beauty to behold, but Iain Metcalf’s DUPLO Marilyn Monroe mosaic took this to another level with DUPLO bricks twice the size of ordinary LEGO bricks! The result was a large, stunning piece of art based on the LEGO Art set released years ago.

“Train kanji” LEGO art by Mark Danforth

LEGO art of Japanese kanji character for the word "train" at Shildon Brick Show 2025

What better way to celebrate Railway200 at Shildon Brick Show than a LEGO mosaic built from tiny trains, and the Japanese characters (kanji) for “train”? This beautiful LEGO artwork was built by Mark Danforth from Brick Alley especially for the event and we think it looks great!

Locomotion No. 1 LEGO model by Henry Ayling

LEGO Locomotion No 1 model at Shildon Brick Show 2025 by Henry Ayling

Another train model for Railway200, Henry’s Locomotion No. 1 LEGO model was a seriously impressive feat, creating a small working replica of the famous locomotive and the star of the Railway 200 celebrations in 2025!

Shildon Brick Show will return in 2026 on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of November 2026; find other LEGO fan events in the UK on our 2026 list.
