Hello LEGO fans! It’s been an odd year thanks to coronavirus, with our LEGO® workshops around the UK being cancelled or postponed.
In their place, we’ve been running virtual LEGO workshops, which have been a lot of fun (but not quite as much fun as our usual huge pile of bricks in some stunning venues around the UK!), but most of these have been for private clients and for corporate team-building workshops.
Our thoughts are with all of those in the museum and culture sector who are undergoing a lot of change – and pressure – it looks like you’re doing a fantastic job keeping things moving.
Free LEGO workshops from Locomotion Museum
As part of their October 2020 half term events, we’re pleased that Locomotion has released a day of free LEGO workshops for 5 – 11 year olds.
The events are facilitated by Bricks McGee, and provide an hour of LEGO fun for your family. The building theme will be “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” (well, Locomotion is a railway museum at heart!), and you’ll join us with up to 29 other families in a session to build to the challenges we set. To join in, you’ll need:
- A free ticket, bookable via the Locomotion website
- Some way of joining us on Zoom – a modern smartphone, tablet or laptop should work!
- A pile of LEGO bricks. Don’t worry about not having enough – the activities are designed to be flexible.
We look forward to seeing you there! You can book your free space for the workshops via the Locomotion website here.
Tickets for these workshops are on a first-come, first-served basis, and are managed via the museum.
