Black County Brick Show 2026 was back at the Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich, north of Birmingham, and Bricks McGee were on hand to provide our self portrait drop in session for visitors and to see models from some of the UK’s most prolific builders.
This fan-organised LEGO fan event is the largest in the midlands, with LEGO model displays from amateur builders, and funds raised are split between Fairy Bricks and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. You can follow future event information on the Black County Brick Show Facebook page.
Our favourite LEGO models at Black County Brick Show 2026
Our team at the show picked their favourite models on display – a hard pick from the brilliant collection on display this weekend!
Microscale map of Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings by the Cole Brothers
Another huge microscale map made an appearance at Black County Brick Show this year built by the Cole Brothers (previously featured at Bricktastic 2024), and this time it was Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings.
Featuring tower mountain ranges, dense forests and many locations from the books (and films), there was plenty to see.
LEGO Basílica de la Sagrada Família
This beautiful architectural model of Basílica de la Sagrada Família towered above visitors.
Biohazard LEGO fairground ride by Mark and Judi Kraska
Alina selected Mark and Judi’s new Biohazard LEGO fairground ride. “Biohazard is one of their latest rides and it is looking great! This MOC is not only mesmerizing, but it also includes 7 60LED boards, 4 on each corner of the platform and 3 in sequence in the centre.”
You can find more about their fairground models on their website at brickfaiground.co.uk.
Arctic Circle Habitat by @Elma_builds
This LEGO Arctic Circle Habitat model by @Elma_builds caught our eye, with dense wintery scenery and plenty of details to spot with arctic wildlife from seals to polar bears and even an orca.
Did you miss out this year? There are plenty more LEGO fan events in the UK and Ireland for 2026 – check out our comprehensive list! This model is also featured in the header image.
Old school Windows PC by @traveling.mocer
Picked by Jenny, our next selection is by our very own Alina (aka @traveling.mocer) from our model design team: this brilliant old-school Windows PC built from LEGO bricks featuring the Windows XP logo was among many models of real, physical items she has built including extension leads and CD racks.
LEGO Thunderbird puppet models by Kevin Copas
Alina also selected Kevin’s iconic LEGO Thunderbird puppet model from displays at Black County Brick Show this year – it was great to see a new generation of visitors becoming interested in this iconic TV series! You can follow Kev’s builds on Facebook as Knickerbrickerglory.
We’re next attending Reading Brick Show – see you there!
