What is a corporate gift set?

A corporate gift set provides a unique present for a potential customer, employees, or existing clients for your business or organisation
. It can be a great opportunity to leave them with a reminder of your products or services.

Making use of LEGO bricks provides a tactile building experience as part of the gift, creating a memorable experience for the recipient, and having more impact than traditional corporate gifts.

Can you create a custom design?

Whilst we have a library of existing model gift set designs – from cars to planes, wind turbines, and everyday objects – most clients create a custom model with us to represent something special to their interests or needs.

It is usually possible to create a design for a specific object or item at multiple sizes, giving you options for different budgets.

What’s included in a gift set?

What is included in a corporate gift set varies client by client, but at the very minimum are a pile of LEGO bricks ready for building a specific model. Bricks McGee only use genuine LEGO bricks in our gift sets, though some providers may use other branded bricks.

Our most commonly ordered option is for loose LEGO bricks provided in gift boxes, with a QR code linking to a PDF instruction booklet.

How does the design process work with custom gift sets made from LEGO bricks?

Bricks McGee create a digital version of your gift to be produced for you to approve.

We can work from photographs of an object, CAD / computer renders, or even AI generated images (though beware that AI is not very good at generating LEGO models and uses many parts that won’t exist!).

You are able to provide feedback on the model, and once approved, we begin production of your corporate gift sets.

There are typically many things you can customise within your corporate gift set made from LEGO bricks:

  • the model itself can be designed to represented a product, mascot or other item relevant to your business
  • the model itself can include a custom printed element including your logo. Note that LEGO minifigures are a separate trademark of the LEGO Group and cannot be printed with third party logos.
  • the instruction booklet cover can be branded to your corporate identity using your logo and colour palette, and individual pages in the instruction booklet (usually provided as a PDF) can include your corporate logo.
  • whilst it is not possible to provide pieces with exact colour matches for your brand in most cases, we are usually able to provide a close colour match for most brands

How long will a custom gift set take?

Our custom gift set service typically takes around 4 – 8 weeks for most clients. This timeline depends on many factors such as the quantity of sets ordered, their shipping location, the complexity of the model design, and how much feedback on the design is provided.

What makes a great corporate gift set from LEGO bricks?

So, how do you make the most of these plastic bricks to create a great corporate gift set? We believe a great gift set with LEGO bricks:

  • makes use of the playful nature of the LEGO brand – including colourful blocks and clever use of LEGO pieces can create an even more memorable building experience for recipients
  • provides an interesting building experience for the recipient
  • leaves a visually interesting gift which the recipient wants to keep long after receiving it

A list of questions to ask yourself about corporate gifting

Bricks McGee have years of experience in working with clients of all sizes to bring their vision to life in LEGO bricks, and believe asking yourself – or your organisation – these four questions will help you to clarify your brief for corporate gifting:

  • How long it will take recipients to build it? More senior executives may find a smaller gift more appropriate as larger gifts can take 30 minutes, one hour, or longer to build – meaning your gift may remain unbuilt!
  • Is the gift suitable and engaging? Is the item to be designed in LEGO bricks for the gift suitably interesting? We receive many requests for company logos to be created in LEGO bricks, but for the recipient these can be unappealing, and not provide the most engaging building process. Everyday objects can be much more fun!
  • What is your timeline / deadline to receive the corporate gifts? Bricks McGee ship internationally from the UK; we advise a minimum turnaround of 6 weeks for international orders, but the longer the timeline the better, generally!
  • Where are you gifting these items? If it’s an international conference and recipients are likely to be travelling by plane and with limited luggage, smaller may be better!
