Large store diorama built from LEGO bricks for Tesco

Beep! Beep! Join to the sound of tiny self checkouts to showcase new technology in your store than a model built from LEGO bricks.

Tesco needed a model to showcase their store operations for international exhibitions, and Bricks McGee (home) delivered a large diorama to showcase key processes.

 

Designed to showcase workflow processes in Tesco stores offering home delivery, the model was split in to two halves with an open-sided diorama style, ideal for us at exhibitions internationally.

Modelling with LEGO bricks allowed us to capture the layout of the store and features common in Tesco stores with a lot of colour and a hint of humour. A large Tesco logo features in the base of the diorama

“Cashier number 7 please”

The model of the store store showcased a wide variety of produce from canned goods to fresh produce, as well as traditional checkouts with conveyor belts and those new-fangled self-checkouts too.

Walk in to the c-c-c-hiller!

Behind the scenes, the model showcases freezer storage and automated picking tools and a maze of conveyors taking products ready to be packed for home delivery.

Don’t forget the trucks!

Tesco’s trucks and home delivery vans are iconic parts of British culture in towns and cities across the country, and Bricks McGee were tasked with recreating them with LEGO bricks for the loading bay of the diorama.
