The Great Western Brick Show returned to STEAM Museum in Swindon again for a weekend of LEGO model displays and activities.
Now in its 21st year, this long-running event is run by Brickish, the UK-wide LEGO User Group for adult LEGO fans.
Our selection of LEGO models from Great Western Brick Show 2025
With the highest ever number of exhibitors this year, there were plenty of LEGO models spread throughout the museum to find: here are our picks from this year’s show.
American history diorama by Simon Pickard
This large diorama was beautifully built by Simon Pickard, showcasing native American tribes and European settlers. The woodland scene was really impressive, with plenty of trees to create a well sheltered area in the centre of the display – if you looked carefully, you could see people hunting and a lot of wildlife!

And this was some of the best rockwork we’ve seen done in LEGO bricks – and Simon was rightly proud!

Sans Pareil LEGO locomotive by Drew

Of course, in the year of Railway 200, celebrating 200 years of the modern railway, and at a LEGO fan event in a train museum, we’d be remiss not to include at least some trains, and Drew’s brilliant LEGO Sans Pareil provided an interesting, unusual model to fill that need!
LEGO canal by Vaughn Medway
This superb LEGO canal scene by Vaughn spanned several meters and show a cut-through view of a canal passing through locks, a cricket match, a pub, and much more – a brilliant use of space!

Didcot Railway Centre model by Sarah Jermyn
This miniature LEGO version of the Didcot Railway Centre by Sarah Jermyn was beautifully done – a lot of interest at an unusual scale! We wonder how many ingots were used for the paving…

Thanks again to the organisers for a great festival of LEGO in the South West of England, and we hope to return next year.
Our next fan event visit will be Shildon Brick Show 2025 at the opposite end of England – join us in North East England on 1st and 2nd November at the Locomotion Museum.
