Bricks McGee visit a lot of LEGO fan events across the UK throughout the year. It’s nice to see what the LEGO fan community has been building, and to talk to LEGO fans of all ages. Sometimes, the smaller events are the ones which provide the most surprising, and the recent Watercress Bricks event in Hampshire was no exception to this rule.
Organised by members of the LEGO UK Railway train club, the event was hosted in the cosy Alresford Goods Shed on the heritage Watercress Line railway and featured a small collection of LEGO model displays built by club members.

Rory’s Hayling North station model is based on a real life station – now defunct – and had plenty of charm in a small footprint.

Robin and Jamie’s Seacoastia display featured a detailed LEGO town scene with lots of custom designed buildings.
Ben’s engine shed showcased LEGO technology pushed to its limit, with LEGO trains and a turntable automated with LEGO robotics kits.
We hope this small community-run event with a lot of heart returns in September 2026 – you can find out by keeping an eye on our 2026 list of LEGO fan events in the UK and Ireland here.
