This guide is designed to provide all of the information you need to plan your upcoming team building or workshop with LEGO bricks.

For further information, please email Richard at playtime@bricksmcgee.com.

This page includes:

  • Information on when we will arrive
  • Room requirements
  • Table and team split suggestions

Before the event

Arrival at your venue

  • Unless otherwise specified, facilitator(s) will arrive at the venue around 30 minutes before the session is to begin
  • If facilitators require photographic ID to enter your premises, please email playtime@bricksmcgee.com with a request at least 3 working days before the event, as we do not carry this by default
  • It is much easier to set up without participants in the room where possible – a well-placed coffee break before our team building session can work well for this!
  • We will need approximately 5 – 20 minutes to set up, depending on the number of participants

Room set up

We try and be flexible with room requirements, so please ask us if you have any queries.

  • For smaller groups (40 and under), we do not usually require AV equipment. For larger groups, access to a microphone/PA system can be helpful
  • We do not require slides for the activities; we can supply suitable graphics for you if you would like to include us in your slide deck
  • Our LEGO brick kits require a large space on each table; please ask the venue to clear all glassware, crockery and cutlery before our arrival to avoid delays in set up

Tables and teams

Here are ideal room set ups for events:

  • Banquet style tables, with 8 – 10 people per room
Seating type Event capacity Number of tables People per table
Banquet 3 tables 0 – 30 people 10
5 tables 0 – 30 people 6
4 tables 0 – 30 people 7 or 8
Boardroom 1 tables 0 – 30 people 30
Classroom* 15 tables 0 – 30 people 30

* Classroom layout is typically not suitable for our team building events due to the size of the LEGO brick kits we use. Please contact us to discuss.
