Bricks McGee headed to South West England for the PlymLUG Bricktacular LEGO fan event on Saturday 22nd August.
Organised by local LEGO fans in the PlymLUG group, this one day event saw local LEGO fans display their custom models as well as trade stalls and robot wars arena.

Here are a selection of our favourite LEGO models built by fans on display at Plymouth Bricktacular this year.
LEGO train mountain and tunnel scene by @lego_outthere
This stunning LEGO mountain scene with a train tunnel, built by @lego_outthere, really stood out, with its height and consistent landscape. It was great fun watching the train disappear in to the tunnel and re-emerge from the wooded mountainside, and there were plenty of animals and vignettes to spot too.
Embankment and canal by Plymouth Brick Railway
Another train model! This LEGO canal and embankment on the Plymouth Brick Railway collaborative display was superbly done, adding a lot of visual interest to their display. The angles of the retaining walls add to the effect, making it really impressive in the brick.
LEGO castle model by @MJG Bricks
We love a good LEGO castle, and Plymouth Bricktacular did not disappoint! This LEGO castle scene with its imposing walls and beautifully coloured landscape was built by MJG Bricks.
Thanks to the PlymLUG team for a very warm welcome – we hope to venture back down to South West England again soon! The next fan events we are attending will be Brick Adventures at Didcot Railway Centre and Bricks in the Roundhouse near Chesterfield.
