Durham Brick Show returned for its third year at Ushaw House, a few miles North West from the cathedral city Durham in the North East of England.
Organised by Brick Alley LEGO User Group, Durham Brick Show is a two day event organised by local LEGO fans, with fan-built LEGO model displays, activities run by volunteers, and trade stands.
Our favourite models at Durham Brick Show 2026
As usual, we picked our favourite models on display at the event for your viewing pleasure below.
Marcus’ New Hashima cube

The NuToon display is Brick Alley’s collection of New Hashima modules, allow for the creation of intricate, futuristic city scapes. Marcus’ cube – new for Durham Brick Show at the weekend – was built from many trans-red and trans-0range plates with some very futuristic architectural styling, but most novel of all, it responded to the sound of the room around it to pulse light up and down his cube. Truly inventive – the secret behind it is a set of PC gaming accessories which react to the sound in their environment.
James’ Castle scene
Durham Brick Show was James’ first ever LEGO show as an exhibitor, and his LEGO castle model really caught our eye. Full of detail, including lighting in the dungeon, his compact but impressive castle display stood out!

Sam’s Homemaker dolls house

LEGO Homemaker is an old theme, and not one we see often at LEGO shows, and Sam’s brilliant LEGO Homemaker Dollhouse display provided a brilliant showcase of this historical theme. Did you know that minifigures were used as babies for the much larger Homemaker figures?

Chris’ Dragon Train

How can you make a LEGO dragon even cooler? By turning it in to a train! This is exactly what Chris did with his LEGO Dragon Train on display at Durham Brick Show this year – it was great to see if flying around his display!
The next LEGO fan event in the UK for the Bricks McGee team is Great Western Brick Show in Swindon next month.
